Malta Bus Publishing was created to produce books covering the history of the Maltese Buses on the islands of Malta and Gozo. The group's aim was to capture the changing nature of the Route Bus fleet over the years which had not been captured in this way previously.
The group alongside the Malta Transport Society and the Malta Bus Archive to record these details. With these close ties this website is shared with the Malta Transport Society as we look to record the past, current and future scene on the islands.
New from June 2021, our first hardback book in the Maltese Buses series, focusing on DBY 300 to DBY 470.
The second book in the series for EBY 471 to EBY 640 is available now having returned from the printers in November 2023.
MaltaTransport Society is a group focusing on the Maltese Transport scene, past and present. First set up in 2020 to provide fleetlists for Malta and Gozo, but from 2021 also becomes the new home for MTN, with the same production team that created the magazine within Buses Worldwide previously.
Malta Bus Publishing and Malta Transport Society are associated with the team that create and produce the MTN magazine which becomes part of the family in 2021, having previously been published by Buses Worldwide
The aim of MTN is to cover all elements of Transport and Commerical vehicles on the islands both past and present.
Due to be published mid-November 2025
The new book is in B5 hard-back format with 624 pages and over 1400 photographs, documenting the Bus Industry across the island through the last 100 years.
Back issues of MTN are available although some early ones are now out of print.
The first two books in these series are now available, covering DBY 300 to DBY 470 and EBY 471 to EBY 640. The third in the series focused on FBY 641 to FBY 807 is in progress.
New for Summer 2022 from Malta Transport Society, the first commercial book from the Society, focused on the trucks with Ergomatic cabs (AEC, Leyland & Albion) that have operated in Malta and Gozo. In B5 format with over 320 images.
